![]() ![]() If you still have problems with a verify/replacing the appmanifest- I'd be questioning steam folder perms/owner/location, av/security/windowsdefender, admin, controlled folder access. If the uninstall didn't remove r* launcher/social club - that should all be fine after verify grabs everything. Then you verify cache - it sees you have nothing, and proceeds to redownload it all, while not being a 'reinstall'. If you drop in the linked appmanifest above with steam closed, and open steam - it should say that 'gtav is installed' / appear in library list. If you have no other games downloading/pending I'd delete steam/steamapps/downloading folder too along with steam/steamapps/temp. And anything else within the steam folder/subfolders that is 'grand theft auto v', or anything with 271590 - files or folder. ('shouldn't' be since you uninstalled) - just making sure it is gone.īecause you uninstalled gtav - I'd definitely delete those. There is no plain appmanifest_271590.acf in steam/steamapps? only hint im getting is app 271590 manifest acf, i go to my files and theres two with that label, one says tmp the other says tmp save. Yeah ive installed the game with no problems when i first purchased it, i got up to like level 50 went off one day, 3 hours later i clicked on the app to get back on and that tab popped up. considering steam creates folders/files to pre-allocate all the space before download even begins. Even a gtav install puts stuff into steam / steamapps / common / steamworks shared too - though I'm not sure if that is at the start/end of the download. Deleting anything and everything associated with the install of it is just an attempt to reset the board. Where uninstalling components of it isn't enough if said folders aren't also removed. ![]() Gtav is one of those games where depending on system - if you install it with, or without admin - you could have issues in getting it to work. Same with any folders that 'would' be created on the first installation of the game. Автор сообщения: psykotekyWhat you stated, and what I can find - can be entirely different solutions (coming from youtube, google, reddit) -> someone who has fixes for gtav you won't find on the internet.ĭeleting the folder makes steam remake it incase it was created/had issues in the first place. Workshop folder possibly if heavily invested in that too. ![]() I'd atleast try that route before going nuclear and moving your steamapps/common, steamapps/ *.acf fiiles, and steam/userdata folders out and removing the entire steam installation (and not re-installing in program files). Heck, if steam isn't giving you any specific details for a file/folder/access that is the issue - you may be able to use a tool like process monitor or another similar to monitor what is going on and see if it spits out errors on a certain folder/file/access. Though, if this issue straight up appeared out of nowhere - and you played say, yesterday. Other games installing fine is good - that 'helps' limit it to gtav/steam related things. There are many things that can throw curveballs into the install. Is this a copy from a different pc? Could be ownership issues. Are files being created in the downloading/271590 folder?ĭid it install clean the first time? Has it ever worked? Character progressing doesn't always mean same pc - sadly.
